Background

Rooted in resilience, family, and connection.

I was born in San José, Costa Rica, and moved to Canada at a young age, where I witnessed my parents adapt to a new language and culture with incredible strength and resilience. Their perseverance deeply shaped my understanding of courage, sacrifice, and the importance of connection.

Becoming a mother early in life, along with navigating personal experiences of loss and hardship, has profoundly influenced the way I connect with others. These experiences have strengthened my empathy, resilience, and appreciation for the complexity of life’s challenges.

Values

A culturally sensitive and inclusive approach.

I am both ambitious and hardworking, and I bring those values into the work I do with clients every day. While I currently provide therapy in English, I am fluent in Spanish and bring a culturally sensitive and inclusive approach to my work.

I value family, connection, perseverance, and the healing power of human relationships. I also believe humour, authenticity, and moments of lightness can be an important part of the healing process.
